Understanding Valid Turnover
In sports betting, turnover is usually calculated using the full stake of a bet.
For example, if you place a €100 bet, your turnover would increase by €100.
This is known as stake turnover, which represents the total amount staked on bets.
Valid Turnover represents the portion of a bet that reflects the actual risk involved.
For each bet, Valid Turnover is the smaller value between the stake and the potential profit.
This means that stake turnover and valid turnover may differ.
When a turnover requirement applies — such as for withdrawals, bonuses, cashback, or promotions — we use Valid Turnover only.
This makes the turnover requirement fair and based on real risk.
How Valid Turnover Is Calculated
For each bet, we compare two values:
Your stake
Your potential profit (Stake × Odds – Stake)
The Valid Turnover is the smaller of these two values.
Only settled, non-void bets count toward Valid Turnover.
Examples of Valid Turnover
Example 1
Bet: €100 @ 1.30
Stake: €100
Potential Profit: €30
Valid Turnover = €30
Example 2
Bet €50 @ 2.50
Stake: €50
Potential Profit: €75
Valid Turnover = €50
Why Sportmarket Uses Valid Turnover
Different bets carry different levels of risk.
For example:
Low-odds bets generally carry lower risk and smaller potential profits
Higher-odds bets involve greater risk and larger potential returns
If turnover requirements were based only on the full stake of every bet, the amount counted toward turnover would not always reflect the actual level of risk involved.
Valid Turnover helps ensure that turnover requirements are applied fairly across different types of bets and reflect genuine betting activity.
Where to Check Your Turnover
You can monitor your turnover inside the Sportmarket Betting Platform.
Go to:
Profile icon → Settings → Analytics
In the Analytics section you will see:
Turnover – your total stake turnover (the total amount staked on bets)
Price Adjusted Turnover (Valid Turnover) – the amount that counts toward turnover requirements for withdrawals, bonuses, cashback, or promotions
When a turnover requirement applies, Valid Turnover is the value used to determine whether the requirement has been met.
