What Does “Account Expired” Mean?

If you see the message:

“The account has expired due to inactivity for security reasons, please contact support to re-enable.”

this means your Sportmarket Betting Account is currently disabled or restricted.

Why This Happens

Most common reasons

1. Inactivity

Your account has been automatically disabled because it hasn’t been used for a period of time.
This is a standard security measure to protect your account.

2. No funds in the account

Accounts with no balance and prolonged inactivity may be disabled as part of security processes.

3. Verification (KYC) not completed

If your identity verification is incomplete, your account may be restricted until this is resolved.

Other possible reasons

4. Responsible gambling restrictions

If you have enabled:

  • Self-Exclusion, or

  • Timeout

your account will remain unavailable until the selected period ends.

5. Compliance restriction

Your account may be limited due to internal or regulatory requirements.

How to Fix It

What you need to do depends on the reason:

  • Inactivity / no funds:
You can easily reactivate your account yourself:

    1. Log in to your Sportmarket main account

    2. Click the dropdown arrow in the top right corner (next to BET NOW)

    3. Select “Activate Betting Account”

Once activated, you’ll be able to log in to your betting account again and make a deposit if required.

  • Verification (KYC):
Complete the required verification steps. For guidance, see our KYC Verification at Sportmarket.

  • Responsible gambling restrictions:
You’ll need to wait until the selected period has ended. This cannot be overridden.

  • Compliance restriction:
Contact support — we’ll review your account and advise on next steps.
